Oh! The Fun at Seuss Landing at Universal Orlando

We just got back from our Orlando family vacation and had loads of fun at Seuss Landing at Universal's Islands of Adventure. Not sure who enjoyed it more, me or the kids... probably me! I love everything Dr. Seuss. Read on!

Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.
I'm always sad when our family vacations come to an end but looking back at all the fun we had as Seuss Landing puts a big smile on my face! Visiting Seuss Landing was probably one of my personal favorite experiences from our recent trip to Universal Orlando, Florida. I absolutely loved this whimsical place and the kids were captivated from the moment we walked into this world of Dr. Seuss! Reason why today I though I'd tell you all about what you'll see at Seuss Landing if you're planning to visit.

Dr. Seuss characters we know and love come to life at Seuss Landing -- in rides, attractions, and live shows. Seuss Landing is located in the Islands of Adventure theme park, situated right next door to sister theme park Universal Studios Orlando, and within the CityWalk shopping and entertainment district and nearby hotel/resorts that make up Universal Orlando Resort.

Oh! The Fun You'll Have at Seuss Landing

Appealing to the youngest members of the family, this 10-acre Dr. Suess themed land is the perfect place to explore with little kids. Older Dr. Seuss fans (like me) will love it too! We had so much fun taking in all the colorful details of this Seuss-ical land. In my opinion Universal really did a great job at bringing the whacky ambiance of famed Dr. Seuss books to life here. From walking through the Street of the Lifted Lorax amongst truffula trees to helping Horton hatch his egg by sitting in a nest, this place will bring such delight to Suess fans young and old! And provide great photo ops too!

Oh! The Rides You'll Ride at Seuss Landing

The Caro-Seuss-el -- probably one of our favorites! Ride on a wide array of fun and unusual creatures right out of Dr. Seuss imagination. And best part is that most of the creatures aboard this merry-go-round the can turn their heads, blink their eyes, and wiggle their ears. Fun-tastic!
The Cat in the Hat ride -- another favorite! Ride a couch through the pages of our favorite Dr. Seuss children's book and see what mischief Thing One and Thing Two are up to.
One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish -- Take a spin on a colorful fish but make sure to listen to the song because it will tell you which way to move (up or dow) to avoid getting wet on this fun family-friendly ride.
High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride -- Take a journey high above the colorful land of Dr. Seuss on this slow train-like ride. You'll see it all from up here!

Oh! So Much More Than Just Rides at Seuss Landing

Kid's Play Area

If I Ran a Zoo is one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books and I was delighted to see the silly characters from this story come to life in an interactive play area at Seuss Landing, just perfect for little kids. My two kids couldn't get enough of this place! They had fun running and splashing around in a cute little wet play area, trapping beasts (or mom and dad) in a watery cage, then sliding through tunnels in Zomba-ma-tant, riding a curious cow with multiple humps, and playing a game on the belly of Tic Tac Joe.
A four-footed lion's not much of a beast. The one in my zoo will have ten feet, at least!

Themed Restaurants and Shops

At Seuss Landing you'll also find plenty of themed restaurants and shops.

At Honk Honkers you'll find sweet treats and snacks or you can grab a one-of-a-kind cotton candy creation. Grab a refreshing drink at Moose Juice, Goose Juice. Get something to eat at Green Eggs and Ham or sit and enjoy a quick bite under the big top at Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous! And when you're done with all that make sure to stop to shop at All the Books You Can Reads shop. This Cat In the Hat themed shop has a huge assortment of Dr. Seuss themed souvenirs and cute gifts to take home!

Meet & Greet Wacky Dr. Seuss Characters

Before leaving make sure to head on over to the Dr. Seuss Character Zone to snap your pic with your favorite wacky characters including that mischievous cat and his two little sidekicks. Meet Sam I Am and the Lorax too!

Don't Forget to Make Time for Story time

Make sure to leave a little time to check out Oh! The Stories You'll Hear -- a live performance featuring tales of strange creatures from popular Dr. Seuss' stories. The kids will love it!
You're off to great places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so... get on your way!
Thanks for reading this post about our trip to Universal Orlando. I will be sharing more details about other fun things we did during our trip real soon so stay tuned! In the meantime, I hope I've inspired you to plan your own trip to visit Seuss Landing because "I meant what I said and I said what I meant" your kids will love this place... and so will you if you are a BIG Dr. Seuss fan like me!

Oh! Don't forget to 'Pin This' for later
